Dear Friends,
2023 was a time to reflect in gratitude and strategically plan for what’s beyond! Serving over 23,000 local children with resources this past year, we reimagined our vision for a community of healthy children. Basic free resources such as food, diapers and clothing help a family address their immediate needs. However, BackPack Beginnings has a desire to help families go Beyond the Basics, launching a new program that coaches and connects guests with services here in Guilford County. Dignity of choice is not only limited to selecting items, but it is accessing support for other needs, such as housing, mental health, transportation and employment. 
Beyond the Basics encourages self-sufficiency and a path for breaking cycles of poverty. We are honored to provide resources for today and NOW services for tomorrow!
Over the years, our community’s support has helped us expand our programs offered to local families. Take a look at this snapshot of our growth over the past 4 years alone. Imagine the impact we can make when we go beyond!
Resourcing over 600 families a month in our Family Market and 2,000 children with weekly bags of food through our community partners, our work is essential. We need your support! Our goal for this year’s annual campaign is $225,000. Your financial donations make a difference and provide resources and services that empower families to experience dignity in hard times.
