A new school year is just a few weeks away. In Guilford County, there are over 42,500 students on free or reduced meals. Many of these children don’t have access to food, appropriate clothing and hygiene products. BackPack Beginnings aims to alleviate these issues through our Food and Comfort BackPack Programs and our Clothing and Food Pantries.
This Fall, BackPack Beginnings will be feeding over 1,300 children in 24 schools in Guilford County. Will you help us strike out hunger in Guilford County? Join us on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 7pm for BackPack Beginnings’ Grasshoppers Night sponsored by United Healthcare.
Bring a minimum of five (5) items from the below BackPack Beginnings list to the Plaza gate entrance and receive a FREE Box seat ticket to the August 12 Hoppers game! Gates open at 6:00pm and first pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm.
