Soccer will be over soon and if you’re wondering A) what you are going to do with all of your newly acquired free time and B) how you are now going to wear your kids out, look no further than John’s Run.
On May 30th at 9 AM a race designed by a 7-year-old will kick off in heats of 100 kids from preschool age to fifth grade. The one-mile course takes kids through an obstacle adventure, hitting favorite downtown spots like The Children’s Museum, The Historical Museum, Center City Park, The Cultural Arts Center and The Central Library. Check out the super cute video at www.johnsrunforkids.com that includes a child’s description of the race course.
And as if running in places that normally have a rule of “No Running!” isn’t enough, there is also an after party that includes music and scoops of ice cream.
What’s even better about John’s Run for Kids? The proceeds from the race benefit our very own BackPack Beginnings.
A race for kids, by kids, for kids. Sums it up perfectly.
