The Fresh Market learned about BPB through their sponsorship with the Kirkwood 5K, an annual fundraiser that benefits BPB. Since then, both Jessica and The Fresh Market have continued to be long-term supporters of BPB. In the past, The Fresh Market has also stuffed Comfort BackPacks, donated bags and held a hygiene drive. They continue to donate and support BPB.

Jessica continues to volunteer on her own with BPB because there are so many ways she can be involved: packing food bags, organizing the food, unpacking and hanging clothing for the clothing pantry, etc. She appreciates having different times to choose from, sometimes she volunteers during work hours or sometimes on the weekend. She loves that her 8-year-old daughter, Carly, can be involved as well. Spending quality time volunteering with her and watching her learn to love to serve others is important to Jessica. Carly’s class at Canterbury has volunteered as well. Jessica hopes that by volunteering with BPB, she can play a small part in the huge responsibility of reducing childhood hunger in our community.
