What is HomeWorks?

HomeWorks is a free, 9-month business program from BackPack Beginnings. It helps you turn your skills, products, services, and ideas into income you can earn from home. Through group sessions, activities, and customized coaching, you’ll build the knowledge and tools to grow your business. Whether you have been dreaming about your own business or it’s already in the works, we’ll meet you where you are.

Learn It

Gain practical knowledge and learn the basics of running a business.

Apply It

Put each lesson into practice with your own business, product, service, or idea.

Build It

Create tools, systems, and plans you can keep using after the program ends.

What you’ll get

  • Group sessions once a month with other local entrepreneurs, some online and some in person

  • One-on-one guidance for your product, service, or idea
  • Practical tools, systems, and plans you keep after the program ends
  • Help finding places to sell, whether on your own or by supplying larger businesses
  • A group of people building their businesses alongside you

Who it’s for

HomeWorks is for Family Market guests with a skill, talent, or idea they want to turn into income. That might look like:

  • Sewing, alterations, or quilting
  • Cooking, baking, or catering
  • Crafts, jewelry, or home decor
  • Services like cleaning, tutoring, or pet care

You don’t need business experience to join. If people would pay for what you make or do, HomeWorks can help you get started.
