We all know about Black Friday.  And when you don’t feel like fighting lines and crowds, technology has introduced Cyber Monday, a convenient way to find deals while sitting in the comfort of your home.

But what do you know about Giving Tuesday?  Back in 2012, the 92nd Street Y spearheaded the idea to kick off the giving season.  The concept quickly gained steam and large corporate partners.

Giving Tuesday is now an internationally recognized day, which has benefitted charitable organizations immensely.

The idea behind Giving Tuesday is simple…following a day of thanks and two days of hopping…find a way to give back.  Charitable donations and volunteered time are both enormously appreciated.

Get the whole family involved and instill a mentality of giving back in your children this holiday season.  Join the latest giving tradition this Tuesday, December 2nd.

Need ideas? We desperately need the following items:

1) Children’s Clothing, sizes 2T – 14/16

2) Canned Fruits and Vegetables

3) Toothpaste and Shampoo
