Lana GreenbergOver six years ago, Lana Greenberg found herself leaving her job as an attorney in San Diego, CA to move to Greensboro, NC with her husband and her 1st and 3rd grade sons for her husband’s job.  Soon after the move, they learned that their family would be growing as an adoption of a 7-month old Ethiopian girl came through.   She decided to abstain from taking the bar in North Carolina and focus on her family.

Fast forward six years and her children are now 6, 12 and 15.  They all attend Greensboro Day School, where Lana got involved in the BPB program for the high school to sponsor an elementary school (Brightwood Elementary).

Lana was always impressed with the organization and told Parker that she would love to help more now that she has a little bit more free time.

About two months ago, she joined forces with the other amazingly qualified volunteers at the BPB staff and started researching projects that have been on the back burner for some time.  Such projects include ways to expand the Comfort Backpack Program outside of Guilford County and joining forces with some of the corporate matching programs in Greensboro.

Backpack Beginnings is so fortunate to have so many educated, smart and creative women donating hours and hours of time to help the growing problem in our community.    Lana Greenberg is a wonderful fit and we’re thrilled to have her on the team!
