Zoës Kitchen Gives Back

On Friday, May 19th Zoës Kitchen teamed up with BackPack Beginnings to build bags of food for children in need in our community.  The 40 volunteers from Zoës Kitchen used their skills as restaurant operators to build 1886 bags of food in under 2 hours! That is a new record for BackPack Beginnings!

Volunteering at BackPack Beginnings can be an incredible team building activity for businesses in the Triad.

Zoës kitchen is a fast casual restaurant concept that serves scratch-made Mediterranean cuisine.  They really focus on living Mediterranean and embracing that lifestyle.  Part of that lifestyle is connecting with the community around them and delivering goodness whenever possible.  Francesca Carter- Peele, the National Director of Catering, had this to say about her experience, “Our time spent with BackPack Beginnings was incredibly moving and inspiring and served as a reminder that we are at our best when we are helping others.”

Volunteering at BackPack Beginnings can be an incredible team building activity for businesses in the Triad.  It provides the platform for employees to come together and work as a cohesive unit to give back to the community where they live and work.  Erin Williams had this to say about the experience, “Team members leave feeling closer to each other, motivated to work together, and extremely accomplished for helping such an amazing organization give back to their community.”
