Last Friday, 40 volunteers from Zoës Kitchen helped to fight childhood hunger by joining forces with BackPack Beginnings, a non-profit that provides food, clothing, and comfort to local children in need.
"This was our most successful fundraising drive to date having raised a total of $50,000," says founder, Parker White. "In addition to all the financial support we’ve received, we also want to thank our supporters for the years of support and volunteer hours.
BackPack Beginnings, a local nonprofit, announced today the launch of its annual fundraising campaign called, Making an imPACK. This year's goal is to raise $30,000 to help fund its 2017 operating budget and expand programs to reach more children in need.
The NASCAR Foundation presented Greensboro native Parker White with a check for $25,000 for being one of four finalists for the NASCAR Foundation's Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award contest.
